Ancelotti agrees to take over at Bayern

Carlo Ancelotti will replace Manchester City bound Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich at the end of the season, according to Italian programme Sport Mediaset.

The Italian boss is currently four months into his year long sabbatical after leaving Real Madrid at the start of the summer and had been tipped to replace Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool before the job was eventually awarded to Jurgen Klopp.

Meanwhile, Bayern had been hopeful of securing Guardiola for another year at the Allianz Arena, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

However, the former Barcelona head coach has been extensively linked with the City post and has reportedly already verbally agreed to take over from Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the current campaign, paving the way for Ancelotti to return to management at Bayern.

According to report from Italy, Ancelotti has already verbally agreed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga champions.
