Juventus are concerned that Simone Zaza’s underwhelming start at West Ham will convince the Premier League club not to make his loan switch permanent at the end of the season, reports Calciomercato, via Football Italia.
Zaza, 25, joined West Ham on an initial season-long loan deal at the end of the summer transfer window, but has failed to have the desired effect for Slaven Bilic’s struggling Hammers.
West Ham will reportedly be forced to make Zaza’s switch permanent in a deal worth £17.5m after he makes 10 appearances this season, although there are fears at Juventus that the Premier League side will kick the striker to the curb before that if he fails to kick on.
The Italy international has made four league appearances this season and is yet to score for a Hammers side tremendously short in confidence. Zaza has had six shots at goal but none have been on target.
