Juventus keen on swap deal involving Dybala and Lukaku

Juventus are preparing an offer for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku which would see Paulo Dybala move in the opposite direction, claims Sky Sports.

Lukaku is keen to leave United this summer after dropping down the pecking order at Old Trafford and has been heavily linked with a move to Inter.

The Serie A outfit are struggling to raise the money required to met United’s £80m asking price and have already had several bids rejected by the Red Devils.

Lukaku is Antonio Conte’s top transfer target after failing to sign the Belgium international during his time at Chelsea but risks missing out on his signature once again.

It has now emerged Juventus have entered the race for the 26-year-old and are willing to use Dybala as a makeweight in a proposed deal.

Dybala has lost his superstar status at Juventus since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival 12 months ago and he is reportedly considering his future at the club.

New Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri wants to sign a new striker this summer, with Inter’s Mauro Icardi another target, leaving Dybala with the prospect of even less playing time next season.

Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain are both keen on the Argentina international, who is valued at £80m by the Old Lady.

However, it remains to be seen whether Juventus are genuinely interested in Lukaku or using this as a tactic to accelerate Inter’s interest so they can sign Icardi from their rivals.

Dybala and Lukaku are both coming off thoroughly disappointing campaigns where they combined for just 17 league goals.

Lukaku has scored more league goals than any other United player since joining the club from Everton two years ago (28) but his performances have divided opinion among supporters.

Dybala, meanwhile, has failed to nail down a defined role since Ronaldo’s arrival and weighed in with a measly five league goals last term.
