Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is a transfer target for Chelsea following his impressive start to the season, reports The Daily Mirror.
The Cottagers completed a £22m move for Mitrovic in the summer after the Serbia international made a stunning impact on loan at the club last season.
Mitrovic fired Fulham to promotion from the Championship during a devastating six-month loan stint at the club and has made a similarly fine start to this campaign.
The 24-year-old has scored six goals in seven appearances for club and country this season and now Chelsea and monitoring his progress.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri wanted to sign a new striker in the summer and is expected to review his forward position over the next two transfer windows.
Sarri still has reservations over Alvaro Morata, while Olivier Giroud turns 32 this month and his best days are behind him.
Fulham would be resigned to losing their star striker and would likely slap a huge price tag on his head in order to ward off interest from their neighbourhood rivals.
Mitrovic has scored 16 goals in 25 league appearances for Fulham in 2018, more than any other player in England’s top-two tiers during the same period.
