Tottenham set ambitious valuations for out-of-favour duo

Tottenham have put Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente up for sale and hope to fetch a combined £30m for the duo, claims the London Evening Standard.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side want Janssen off their books as quickly as possible and have left the Netherlands international off their pre-season tour of the US to ensure he is available for sale.

Tottenham shelled out £17m to sign Janssen from AZ Alkmaar in 2016 after the 24-year-old finished the 2015/16 campaign as the top scorer in Eredivisie, but he has failed to make any impact in England.

Pochettino’s side are determined to recoup the full £17m they invested to sign the Dutch striker and any loan deal would have to include a clause to make the switch permanent.

Janssen isn’t the only striker free to leave Tottenham this summer, as the north London outfit are also actively seeking buyers for Spanish striker Llorente, who only joined 12 months ago.

Tottenham beat Chelsea to Llorente’s signature last summer, but, like Janssen, the 33-year-old has struggled to make a positive impact on the team, instead settling for a place on the bench.

Llorente only started one Premier League match last season and made a further 15 appearances from the bench, scoring once in that period.

In fact, Janssen and Llorente have only netted three times for Tottenham across 44 league appearances between them.
