Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has laughed off suggestions he could join Turkish Super Lig champions Besiktas.
Robben, 32, has entered the final 12 months of his current deal with Bayern and there have been suggestions the Netherlands international could leave the Bundesliga champions after struggling for fitness and game time last season.
However, the former Real Madrid and Chelsea winger has refuted those suggestions and insists he has no desire to leave Bayern this summer and wants to sign a new deal with the club.
“It’s the same story all over again every year, I can only laugh about these rumours,” Robben told Germany newspaper Bild, via The Daily Mail.
“I have a great relationship with the people at Bayern. We appreciate each other. Bayern know where to find me if they want to have a chat [about signing a new deal]. I am always available. Or they can give my father [his agent] a call. Bayern have my number.
“But the most important thing for me at the moment is to play some good football.”
Robben only managed to make 15 appearances in the league last season after struggling with numerous injuries. Of players to have made at least 20 starts in the last two Bundesliga campaigns Robben has required fewer minutes per shot on goal than any other player (19.7 mins).
