Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis insists that Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain is not for sale this summer.
The Argentine striker has been strongly linked with a move away from the Serie A side, with Arsenal, PSG and Bayern Munich all interested in the frontman.
Juventus, though, have moved into pole position in recent days and are supposedly close to secure the big money capture of the 28-year-old.
Higuain is keen to move to the Juventus Stadium, but De Laurentiis is adamant that he does not want to sell his prized asset as interest in his signature intensifies.
"Gonzalo never said he wanted to leave," said the club’s head of communications, Nicola Lombardo, at Napoli's training base in Dimaro, with quotes via Sky Sports.
"Juve have never asked for him and Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want to sell him. We are talking about rumours that are fuelled by the press, who write story upon story. But he will be here in Dimaro to start pre-season on July 25."
Napoli are reluctant to allow the frontman to leave for their Serie A rivals, with Higuain scoring more goals (36) than any other player in Italy’s top tier last term.
