Manchester United make first move for England teenager

Sky Sports claim that Manchester United are the first club to have made contact with Fulham over a potential move for Ryan Sessegnon this summer.

The teenager has long been a target of Tottenham, while Juventus have even been credited with an interest, but the Red Devils are keen to make their interest concrete as they look to bolster their options out wide ahead of next season.

The 19-year-old is thought to be keen to continue his career in the Premier League following the Cottagers’ relegation back to the Championship and has no shortage of suitors despite a disappointing season.

Fulham are believed to be willing to cash in on the youngster, who was named Championship Player of the Year in 2017/18, as they look to rebuild under new coach Scott Parker.

Sessegnon registered started 26 of 35 league appearances over the course of his first top-flight campaign, registering six assists and scoring twice. The modest tally in terms of the latter was a huge drop from the 16 goals the winger bagged to help Fulham to promotion last year.
