Tottenham are considering a surprise move for out of favour Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala, reports ESPN.
Spurs are hoping to add to their squad before the close of the transfer window and have eyed up up the France international, who has been made surplus to requirements by City boss Pep Guardiola.
Should the north London side secure the services of Mangala, then Spurs would be prepared to listen for offers Kevin Wimmer, who only recently penned a five-year deal at White Hart Lane.
Mangala, 25, has underwhelmed following his big money switch to the Etihad Stadium in 2014, though Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be a big fan of the centre-back.
Mandala has three years left to run on his current City contract, though it remains to be seen whether the club will sanction a deal to a top-4 rival.
