Southampton midfielder coy on future

Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic has cast doubt over his future at St. Mary’s by saying he doesn’t know if he will still be at the club at the end of the season.

Tadic, 27, hasn’t been a first-team regular under Ronald Koeman this season and will have two years remaining on his current deal in the summer.

The Serbia international has impressed since signing from Twente in 2014 but has struggled for consistency and now isn’t sure whether he will be a Southampton at the end of the summer.

According to The Daily Mail, Koeman’s abrasive managerial style has worn thin with some of the Southampton players, including Tadic, who is now pondering his future at the club.

“Everything is okay, I like Southampton, I have great communication with the fans and that’s it,” Tadic told The Daily Echo.

“We will see at the end of the season what’s going to happen. You never know in football.

“You can never guarantee some things because I have two years contract after the summer and, you never know, not just for me, but for every player, you never know where it’s your future. Football is like that you know, one day you are there, one day somewhere else.”

Despite his patchy form, no Southampton player has registered more assists in the Premier League this season than Tadic (6).
