Liverpool have rekindled their interest in Barcelona winger Cristian Tello but face competition from Fiorentina this summer, according to Marca.
Tello has regularly been linked with a move to Anfield in recent years and Jurgen Klopp’s side could finally act on their interest with the Spanish winger set to leave the club this summer on a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old spent the last six months of last season on loan at Fiorentina and the Viola are interested in bringing him back to the club in the summer.
Both sides could be forced to wait for Barcelona to sign a replacement before being given the green light to press forward their interest.
Tello was a regular in the Fiorentina XI once joining on loan and played a direct hand in six goals (two goals, four assists) in 15 league appearances. No Fiorentina player averaged more dribbles per game in Serie A last season than Tello (2.6).
