Juventus manager will become Wenger’s successor at Arsenal

Juventus manager Max Allegri has told friends he will replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal in the summer, reports Calciomercato.

Wenger’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and the Frenchman is yet to decide whether he wants to accept the offer of a two-year contract extension or walk away from the club after 21 years.

The 67-year-old has come under immense pressure from Arsenal supporters this season after overseeing another campaign without the Premier League title, in which they are also on the verge of exiting the Champions League in the last 16 once again.

It remains to be seen whether Wenger will walk away from the club at the end of the season, but Allegri has reportedly told friends at a dinner that he will give everything to the final months of the season with Juventus before succeeding Wenger in the summer.

Allegri still has 18 months to run on his existing deal with Juventus but reportedly reached an agreement with the club at the start of the year that would allow him to move on at the end of the current campaign.

Since replacing Antonio Conte as Juventus manager in July 2014, Allegri has managed an impressive win ratio of 71%.
