Argentina international Mauro Icardi has revealed he's snubbed the interest of Real Madrid to stay at Inter this season.
Icardi, 22, has emerged as one of the brightest prospects in European football and finished last season as Serie A’s joint-top goalscorer (22).
The Argentine striker, who spent three years at Barcelona’s academy, only signed a new four-year deal with Inter at the start of last month and insists he remains committed to the Nerazzuri, despite Madrid’s interest.
“Real Madrid have sought me, but I am happy to have renewed with Inter, with whom I am going to play in the Champions League next season,” Icardi told AS.
Icardi had a direct hand in at least 15 more goals than any of his Inter teammates in the Serie A last season (28).
