Arsenal have announced former Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery as Arsene Wenger’s successor on a three-year deal.
The Gunners have been on the market for a new manager since Arsene Wenger stepped down at the end of the season.
Arsenal were expected to name former midfielder Mikel Arteta as Wenger’s successor but got cold feet at the eleventh hour.
The north London outfit have instead turned to Emery, who was sacked by PSG earlier this month following two underwhelming years at the club.

Arsenal will compete in the Europa League for the second season in a row and in Emery they have hired a specialist in that competition.
The 46-year-old led Sevilla to three straight Europa League titles from 2013 to 2016 before moving to PSG.
Emery has a win ratio of 53.5% from the 719 matches he has managed during his career.
