Admirers of Nolito will now have to shell out €30m (£22m) for the 27-year-old after his release clause increased after the transfer window shut on Monday, reports Marca.
Barcelona had been expected to resign the forward following the departure of Pedro last month, but opted against bringing the Spaniard back to the Nou Camp.
The Spaniard’s release clause had only been £12.7m up until Monday, but his stay has triggered an increase of a further £10m to his price tag.
Nolito, however, has an agreement with Celta Vigo whereby Barcelona can still negotiate a lower price if they show an interest when their transfer ban is lifted in January.
The former Barca academy graduate has been in fine form for Celta in the last 18 months. In fact, last season, no Celta player scored mre goals in La Liga than Nolito (13).
