Chelsea have announced they have opted against making Alexandre Pato’s loan deal permanent and the striker will return to parent club Corinthians.
Pato only joined Chelsea on loan in January but having not featured competitively since November 2015 the former Brazil international failed to establish himself in Guus Hiddink’s first-team.
The 26-year-old’s agent still had hopes the Blues would decide to keep Pato but incoming manager Antonio Conte does not see the striker in his first-team plans.
Pato’s record at Chelsea will read one goal in 131 minutes of Premier League action.
