Manchester United retain an interest in Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann and are tracking the situation at the club with doubts over Diego Simeone’s position at the club, claims ESPN.
Jose Mourinho is desperate to add pace to the wide areas in order to successfully implement his counter attacking game on United and has earmarked Griezmann as a potential signing.
However any deal would hinge on whether Simeone stays at the club amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain and United can face plenty of competition for his signature should the France international flourish at the Euros this month.
Alternatively, United are also exploring the possibility of signing Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro, who has just enjoyed a sublime season for the Europa League champions.
The 29-year-old joined Sevilla from PSG in 2013 and has played a huge part in their success since then, scoring more goals than any other Sevilla player in the league (39).
