Man Utd move into pole position for Wolves ace Neves
Manchester United have moved ahead of Arsenal in the race to land Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, claims TalkSPORT.
Wolves are ready to cash in on Neves this summer in a bid to help fund their own transfer plans and are asking £35m for the midfielder.
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for the Portugal international earlier in the window but now United have emerged as the frontrunners.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would like to sign a new central midfielder this summer but that will likely depend Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek.
Both have been linked with summer exits, though Pogba is more likely to depart than Van de Beek at this moment.
Arsenal's interest appears to have cooled somewhat since wrapping up an £18m deal for Anderlecht's Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Wolves pulled off a coup to sign Neves from FC Porto four years ago and few would have expected them to hold on to him for four seasons since then.
However, Wolves are now looking to offload Neves and he seems to be emerging as a real target for United with West Ham asking £100m for Declan Rice.
Since Wolves were promoted to the Premier League in 2018/19, only three players have been booked more times than Neves in the division (25).
