Stretford End’s new darling Marcus Rashford is set for a massive wage hike but the teenage sensation doesn’t want to put pen to paper on a new deal until the end of the season, according to The Daily Mirror.
Rashford, 18, has enjoyed a dream start to his senior United career after proving the match winner in fixtures against FC Midtylland and Arsenal in the space of three days.
The academy graduate still has another year remaining on his £1,200-a-week deal but United have already tabled a long-term deal that would see him earn up to £10,000-a-week.
However, Rashford isn’t rushing into signing extended terms just yet, but that isn’t to cause panic among United fans.
Instead, the teenage sensation wants to prove he isn’t a flash in the pan and will concentrate on confirming his place in the first-team squad until the end of the season before continuing contract talks.
Despite only playing two matches, Rashford is already United’s five top goalscorer in all competitions (4).
