Vardy set for huge new Leicester deal

Leicester are ready to offer Jamie Vardy a new £140,000-a-week contract to secure his best remaining years, claims The Sun.

Vardy only has two years remaining on his current £100,000-a-week deal and Leicester are keen to resolve his future this summer.

The 31-year-old has enjoyed another impressive season for the Foxes and Claude Puel’s side want to reward Vardy with another huge deal.

Riyad Mahrez’s future at the King Power Stadium is uncertain and it would be a disaster if Leicester were to lose both players this summer.

Only Mohamed Salah (31), Harry Kane (26), Sergio Aguero (21) and Raheem Sterling (18) have scored more Premier League goals than Vardy this season (17).

Furthermore, Vardy has set a Premier League record of ending up on the losing side in eight of the matches that he’s scored in this season.
