Swansea striker agrees terms with Marseille

Bafetimbi Gomis have reached personal terms with Marseille for a season-long loan move to the Ligue 1 side, reports L’Equipe.

Swansea are happy to loan Gomis to Marseille but there is still a long way to go in the negotiations.

Marseille are currently only willing to pay 30% of Gomis’ €5m (£4.3m) a year gross salary, while Francesco Guidolin’s side are holding out for them to pay double their current offer.

Gomis started last season on fire in front of goal but his form fell off a cliff around Christmas before dropping out of the team altogether for the second half of the campaign.

Of players that made more than five appearances in the Premier League last season, no one was caught offside more frequently than Gomis (44.7%).
