Mourinho challenges Mkhitaryan to inspire Manchester United to title

Jose Mourinho wants more from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and has challenged him to inspire Manchester United to the Premier League title, claims ESPN.

Mkhitaryan endured a turbulent maiden campaign for United last season but has made a sublime start this time around.

The Armenia international has been an integral part of United’s 100% start to the campaign but Mourinho still wants more from the former Borussia Dortmund creator.

Mkhitaryan was particularly disappointing in big matches in the league last season and Mourinho has challenged the 28-year-old to inspire United to the title come May.

The United ace has already equalled a Premier League record after providing five assists in the first three league games of the season, far surpassing last season’s achievements.

In fact, Mkhitaryan only registered one assist in the league in 24 appearances last term and now leads the charts in Europe’s top five leagues.
