Aitor Karanka’s future as Middlesbrough head coach has been cast into doubt after the Spaniard stormed out of a team meeting, according to Sky Sports.
The former Real Madrid defender called into question his players’ desire to play in the Premier League next season after their shock 1-0 defeat to Rotherham in midweek.
Middlesbrough, who missed out on promotion in the play-off final last season, are only four points behind league leaders Burnley in the Championship, but Karaoke reportedly told his players he no longer wanted to manage them before walking out of a team meeting.
No team has conceded fewer goals at home this season than Boro (6), who have built their promotion push on their strong home form.
