Barcelona are interested in signing Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes at the end of the season, claims AS.
Lyon only signed Guimaraes from Athletico Paranaense in January and the 22-year-old turned down more money from Atletico Madrid in order to join the French side.
Guimaraes put playing time over financial gain by joining Lyon but his list of admirers has only grown since then.
Barcelona manager Quique Setien is keen on prising Guimaraes from Lyon after just six months at the club.
The Spanish side are plotting a mass overhaul of their current playing squad but will first need to offload the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic.
Arthur has even been linked with a move away from Barcelona but he could prove decisive in their pursuit of Brazilian compatriot Guimaraes.
Guimaraes has made a real impression at Lyon in a short space of time and was even called up by the Brazil national team for the first time in his career in March.
The Lyon midfielder was unable to link up with the Selecao as a result of the coronavirus pandemic but he is clearly in the thoughts of head coach Tite.
Guimaraes has made just four appearances in all competitions for Lyon but turned in his best display in their 1-0 win over Juventus in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie (7.84 rating).
