New York Red Bulls have announced Bradley Wright-Phillips has put pen to paper on a new “multi-year” contract with the club.
The 32-year-old’s current deal was due to expire at the end of the year but New York Red Bulls have moved to secure more years out of their club record goalscorer.
Wright-Phillips has been a hit since swapping England for MLS in 2013 the club are delighted the Englishman has committed his twilight years to them.
“We are very pleased to extend Bradley’s time in New York,” Red Bulls sporting director, Denis Hamlett, told the club’s official website. “His on-field accomplishments at this club speak for themselves, but that success comes from his dedication and work ethic day in and day out.
“His character and leadership make him an important part of our group and we look forward to his continued success with the Red Bulls.”
Since joining the Red Bulls in July 2013, Wright-Phillips has scored at least 10 more goals than any other player in MLS (77).
