West Ham are interested in signing Brentford forward Ollie Watkins at the end of the season, reports The Sun.
The Hammers signed Jarrod Bowen from Championship side Hull in January and are keen to pluck another of the division's best in the summer.
David Moyes' side have been tracking Watkins' progress and will continue to monitor his development for the remainder of the season.
Watkins has been a regular goalscorer for Brentford over the last three seasons but has taken his form to another level this term.
The 24-year-old has scored more than double the amount of league goals this season (22) than in 2018/19 and 2017/18 combined (20).
Brentford currently occupy a play-off position in the Championship and the Bees will be desperate to keen Watkins if they secure promotion.
West Ham, on the other hand, may fall short in their pursuit if they are relegated from the Premier League this season.
Watkins trails Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic (23) by one goal in the race to finish as the top scorer in the Championship this season.
Including assists, the Brentford ace has played a direct hand in the most goals in the division this season (25).
