Tottenham have confirmed Vincent Janssen has joined Turkish giants Fenerbahce on a season-long loan deal.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side shelled out £17m to sign Janssen from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar 12 months ago but the 23-year-old struggled to make any impression.
Janssen was left out of the club’s 25-man Champions League squad at the start of the week and has now secured a move away from Tottenham following the arrival of Fernando Llorente.
Fenerbahce were hopeful of signing Diego Costa on a temporary loan deal but failed to agree a deal with Chelsea and have now prised Janssen away from their London rivals.

In 12 months at the club, Janssen only managed to score six competitive goals and four of those were penalties.
