Top 10 Premier League Performers: Vardy, Grealish and Mount star

There were certainly some shocks in GW3, as Leicester dealt out the worst defeat of Pep Guardiola's managerial career with a 5-2 thumping at the Etihad, while West Ham stunned Wolves 4-0 on home soil. Liverpool overcame game opponents in Arsenal 3-1, while Manchester United somehow beat Brighton despite scoring the winner after the full-time whistle had already gone.

Meanwhile, Chelsea battled from 3-0 down to West Brom to draw with captain on the night Thiago Silva enduring a debut to forget, with both Everton and Aston Villa continuing their perfect starts to the campaign. Before we run through the top-10 performers from GW3, we must first point you in the direction of Footstock - where fantasy football meets player trading.

Now, let's find out which players flourished over the weekend...

10) Arthur Masuaku (West Ham) vs Wolves - 8.42 rating /£0.44 Foostock price

West Ham pulled off one of the shock results of gameweek 3 with a stunning 4-0 home win over Wolves on Sunday evening. Despite sitting at left-back in a back five, Masuaku had a license to bomb forward and was rewarded with one assist from his four key passes. The 26-year-old, who isn't the best defensively, did his part at the back with four tackles and interceptions combined.

9) Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) vs Wolves - 8.49 rating / £4.14 Footstock price

Jarrod Bowen opened up his account for the season with a brace in West Ham's remarkable victory over Wolves to take home the WhoScored Man of the Match award. The 23-year-old scored from both shots on target to give West Ham a 2-0 lead before the hour mark.

8) Conor Hourihane (Aston Villa) vs Fulham - 8.51 rating /£0.45 Footstock price

Aston Villa heaped more misery on newly promoted Fulham with a comfortable 3-0 win at Craven Cottage on Monday night. Dean Smith was understandable delighted with his team's  performance and Conor Hourihane kicks off a flurry of Villa players in the top 10. Hourihane scored Villa's second of the night and then turned provider for their third. The 29-year-old created three goalscoring chances in total.

7) Mason Mount (Chelsea) vs West Brom  - 8.52 rating /£7.39 Footstock price

Despite spending more than £200m on new players this summer, it was actually one of Chelsea's academy players that helped inspire their comeback against West Brom on Saturday. Chelsea were 3-0 down when Mason Mount fired in from distance 10 minutes into the second half and Frank Lampard's side clawed back to take a point. Mount had seven shots in total, registered four key passes and completed 90.7% of his attempted passes.

6) John McGinn (Aston Villa) vs Fulham - 8.60 rating / £1.46 Footstock price

After struggling for form at the end of last season, John McGinn has started the new campaign as he did last year. McGinn was tremendous against Fulham, setting up each of their opening two goals, embarassing the Cottagers at times with skill, and registered two more key passes on top of that. The 25-year-old also drew five fouls for the away side.

5) Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) vs Fulham - 8.62 rating / £5.54 Footstock price

Aston Villa set out their intent against Fulham right from the first whistle, with captain Jack Grealish opening the scoring after just four minutes. Grealish finished the night with six shots in total, while also completing three dribbles and drawing six fouls to beat team-mate John McGinn to the WhoScored Man of the Match award. Moreover, the 25-year-old also weighed in with six tackles, his best ever return in a Premier League game.

4) Callum Robinson (West Brom) vs Chelsea - 8.75 rating / £1.63 Footstock price

Callum Robinson must have thought he'd done his part in securing West Brom three points against Chelsea when he was subbed off in the 65th-minute with his side 3-1 up, only to watch the game end in a draw. West Brom's summer signing put them 2-0 up after 25 minutes with his first league goals for the club.

3) Solly March (Brighton) vs Man Utd - 8.79 rating / £0.55 Footstock price

Brighton were understandably devastated to lose 3-2 to Manchester United on Saturday when they deserved three points. Solly March at least appeared to have got Brighton a point with a free header in the 94th-minute only for United to score the winner in the 100th-minute. March, however, was a constant meance down Brighton's right, unmarked for most of the game. The 26-year-old has five attempts on goal, was denied by the woodwork in addition to his goal, and completed seven dribbles. Moreover, March weighed in with six tackles and interceptions combined, handling Mason Greenwood well for large parts.

2) Karl Darlow (Newcastle) vs Tottenham - 9.34 rating / £0.49 Footstock price

Even Newcastle manager Steve Bruce conceded his side were fortunate to draw with Tottenham after being awarded a farcical penalty late on but they were only in with a chance thanks to Karl Darlow's performance in goal. The Newcastle No.2 made 11 saves against Tottenham, the most in a Premier League match this season. Callum Wilson scored the penalty that earned Newcastle a point but they would have been four or five down by that point had it not been for Darlow.

1) Jamie Vardy (Leicester) vs Man City - 9.60 rating / £7.31 Footstock price

Jamie Vardy is unsurprisingly our player of the round for gameweek three after scoring a hat-trick against Manchester City in Leicester's stunning 5-2 win. Vardy tormented City once again and is the only player to manage multiple hat-tricks against a Pep Guardiola-managed side. Sandwiched between two penalties was an outrageous flick through his legs from close range. Vardy managed his hat-trick from just 21 touches and the veteran striker also won four aerial duels up against City's defence.
