Brits Abroad: Loftus-Cheek maintains flying form as Kane blanks against Dortmund

Harry Kane fired another blank as Bayern were beaten by Dortmund in Der Klassiker, with Eric Dier unable to prevent their rivals from netting twice at the Allianz Arena. Elsewhere, Jude Bellingham played a key role in Real Madrid's win over Athletic Club, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek continued his fine goalscoring form in AC Milan's victory at Fiorentina.

Here, we take a look at the top performing British players playing abroad from the Easter weekend.

Jude Bellingham - Real Madrid

That assist came from his only key pass, while one tackle and one interception saw the youngster land a WhoScored rating of 7.45.

Kieran Tierney - Real Sociedad

Kieran Tierney came on with 20 minutes to go in Real Sociedad's 1-0 win at Alaves. The 26-year-old made two clearances in the narrow victory but did little else of note.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek - AC Milan

Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored his ninth goal of 2024 as AC Milan ground out a fine 2-1 win at Fiorentina on Saturday. Loftus-Cheek netted with his only shot, while he also won three aerial duels in a solid showing that saw him return a WhoScored rating of 7.46.

Lewis Ferguson - Bologna

Bologna maintained their fine form with a 3-0 win over Salernitana at the weekend with Lewis Ferguson putting in a solid shift from midfield. While the midfielder was unable to directly contribute to a goal, it wasn't for want of trying as Ferguson managed three shots and one key pass.

Josh Doig - Sassuolo

Josh Doig did all he could to help Sassuolo to a result against Udinese on Easter Monday as he made one tackle, one interception and one clearance in a 1-1 draw. However, Doig also committed two fouls and was booked in the stalemate so returned a WhoScored rating of just 6.15.

Djed Spence - Genoa

Jadon Sancho - Borussia Dortmund

Jadon Sancho was superb as Borussia Dortmund claimed the bragging rights in Der Klassiker. Sancho gave the Bayern backline the runaround having completed four dribbles prior to his late withdrawal. A further interception contributed towards Sancho's WhoScored rating of 7.19.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens - Borussia Dortmund

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens came on the 84th minute of Der Klassiker and didn't have time to impact the result.

Harry Kane - Bayern Munich

Harry Kane earned his third lowest WhoScored rating of his Bundesliga career against Borussia Dortmund (6.14) as he blanked for the eighth time this season. Kane might have managed four shots but it was a disappointing display from the England captain.

Eric Dier - Bayern Munich

Eric Dier, meanwhile, struggled for Bayern against Dortmund, as evidenced by a WhoScored rating of just 6.39. While Dier was solid on the ball, returning a pass success rate of 91.6%, the centre-back was unable to prevent Dortmund for scoring twice.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles - Lyon

Lyon were held to a 1-1 home draw by Reims but Ainsley Maitland-Niles was solid in the stalemate. Indeed, Maitland-Niles returned a WhoScored rating of 7.02 in the stalemate as he made three tackles and two interceptions, while he also got forward well having completed one dribble and made one key pass.
