REVEALED: Manchester United right-back features in Premier League transfer analysis
Part three of the four-part series is up next with Premier League giants Manchester United and Manchester City featuring...
Manchester City - Rodri (7.47 rating)
Rodri is exactly the ball winner Pep Guardiola craved to sit at the base of his midfield and while he didn't come cheaply, the Spaniard has been excellent in his debut season in England. Rodri's WhoScored rating (7.47) is the best of all Premier League summer arrivals and the 11th best overall with the 23-year-old ranking fifth for both passes per game (73) and pass success rate (91.6%) in England's top tier this term.
Manchester United - Aaron Wan-Bissaka (7.20 rating)
Only two players have made more tackles and interceptions combined than Aaron Wan-Bissaka (73) in the Premier League this season, who has been excellent at right-back following his big money switch from Crystal Palace to Manchester United. Indeed, a WhoScored rating of 7.20 is the second best of all United players as the 21-year-old continues to live up to his hefty price tag.
Newcastle - Jetro Willems (7.06 rating)
Jetro Willems' WhoScored rating (7.06) is second only to Ciaran Clark (7.23) of all Newcastle players this season as the Dutchman excels on the back of his summer switch from Eintracht Frankfurt. The Dutchman netted a superb goal against Liverpool back in September and has provided clutch assists in narrow wins over Manchester United and West Ham. The 25-year-old has pressed forward well when handed the opportunity to do so, averaging 1.1 key passes and successful dribbles per game, and is one of only two players to register more than one assist for Newcastle.
Norwich - Sam Byram (6.69 rating)
Sam Byram has made only four Premier League appearances this season, starting twice in England's top tier following the Canaries' promotion, but the 26-year-old has been solid when called upon. Only Tom Trybull (2.6) is making more tackles per game than Byram (2.5) of all Norwich players in the Premier League this term, while 1.8 interceptions per game ranks first for the club and reinforces a statistically calculated WhoScored strength of 'ball interception', helping the full-back to a WhoScored rating of 6.69.
Sheffield United - Lys Mousset (6.78 rating)
Many questioned Sheffield United's decision to sign a striker who made 23 sub appearances and just one start for Bournemouth last season, but Chris Wilder now looks to have landed himself a bargain in Lys Mousset. The Frenchman has scored three and assisted three for the Blades this term, and having registered just 351 minutes of top-flight action, the striker is having a direct hand in a goal every 58.5 minutes, more frequently that any other Premier League player, to contribute towards a WhoScored rating of 6.78.
