Last season’s Championship runners’ up overcame the champions on Sunday at the AMEX Stadium, with Mat Ryan playing a vital role in the 1-0 win. The Australian made five saves and one cross claim to earn a clean sheet and pick up 17.50 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points in gameweek six. 

 

David De Gea – Points Earned 14.50 

 

Making the top-3 list again is Manchester United shotstopper David De Gea after year another clean-sheet attaining performance, this time against goalshy Southampton. The Spaniard is a consistent performer worthy of regular selection as emphasised by the 14.50 points he picked up at the weekend. 

 

Petr Cech – Points Earned 13.00 

 

Rounding off the top performing goalkeepers is Arsenal shotstopper Petr Cech, who kept another home clean sheet on Monday night. The Gunners number one gained 13.00 points with Yahoo! Fantasy Football at West Brom’s expense as he made two saves and one successful cross claim. 

 

DEFENDER 

 

Cesar Azpilicueta – Points Earned 16.40 

 

Two assists at Stoke took Cesar Azpilicueta’s total for the season to four, matching his record for last season. To go with his clean sheet, the Spaniard was the highest scoring defender in gameweek 6, with 16.40 points as a result. 

 

Nacho Monreal – Points Earned 11.00 

 

Nacho Monreal churned out an excellent display against West Brom on Monday night, which included a goal-saving clearance to deny Jay Rodriguez in the first half. On top of that, the 31-year-old made two successful dribbles and four tackles to earn 11.00 points with Yahoo! Fantasy Football. 

 

Hector Bellerin – Points Earned 9.85 

 

Arsenal teammate Hector Bellerin rounds off the defenders having earned 9.85 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points on the back of a solid showing at the Emirates on Monday night. The youngster won three aerial duels and made two tackles in the 2-0 win over the Baggies. 

 

MIDFIELDER 

 

Philippe Coutinho – Points Earned 25.60 

 

After his move to Barcelona fell through, Philippe Coutinho has come back into the first team fold under Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and was excellent against Leicester. The Brazilian earned 25.60 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points due to one goal and one assist in Saturday’s late kick off. 

 

Leroy Sane – Points Earned 24.30 

 

Leroy Sane has been in fine form of late, with three goals and two assists in his last three Premier League outings. Against Crystal Palace at the weekend, he earned a WhoScored.com rating of 10 and 24.30 Yahoo! Fantasy Football points. 

 

Jordan Henderson – Points Earned 16.80 

 

Completing the midfield trio is Jordan Henderson after his goal at the King Power Stadium. The Liverpool captain picked up 16.80 points with Yahoo! Fantasy Football at the weekend after an impressive all-round showing that saw the midfielder make two successful dribbles and four tackles.

Alvaro Morata – Points Earned 31.70 

 

In the days following Diego Costa’s move to Atletico Madrid, Alvaro Morata proved Chelsea wouldn’t miss the Spain international. The summer arrival fired in a hat-trick at Stoke on Saturday to earn more Yahoo! Fantasy Football points (31.70) than any other player in gameweek six. 

 

Raheem Sterling – Points Earned 27.55 

 

Raheem Sterling takes second spot with Yahoo! Fantasy Football this week having netted twice in the 5-0 thumping of Crystal Palace to help pick up 27.55 points. Sterling’s most prolific Premier League season saw him net nine goals in a campaign and with five goals to his name already, he’s backed to enjoy his best season to date. 

 

Harry Kane – Points Earned 25.70 

 

A brace on Saturday means only Lionel Messi (34) has scored more goals than Harry Kane (25) in Europe’s top five leagues in 2017. The Tottenham star had never scored a Premier League goal at West Ham prior to Spurs’ 3-2 win in Saturday’s early kick off and made two dribbles and one tackle to pick up 25.70 Yahoo!
