Salah Saturday's star performer as Liverpool edge towards Premier League title

Liverpool moved a massive 22 points clear at the top of the Premier League with a fine 4-0 home win over Southampton as top four hopefuls Chelsea and Manchester United were forced to share the spoils with Leicester and Wolves, respectively, as we run through the WhoScored star performers from Saturday's Premier League action... 

Leicester 2-2 Chelsea - Antonio Rudiger 

In an entertaining encounter to kick off the weekend's Premier League action, Antonio Rudiger was the star man as the German emerged as Chelsea's primary goal threat at Leicester. The centre-back netted twice in the 2-2 draw at the King Power Stadium, and has now scored more league goals this season than he managed last term, while four aerial duels won helped him earn a WhoScored rating of 8.41. 

Liverpool 4-0 Southampton - Mohamed Salah 

Liverpool moved 22 points clear with their resounding 4-0 win over Southampton at Anfield. Mohamed Salah rattled in his 13th and 14th league goals of the campaign in the victory, those coming from four shots. The Egyptian could've had an assist, too, having created three goalscoring chances for teammates, as an additional four successful dribbles saw Salah return a WhoScored rating of 9.50. 

Newcastle 0-0 Norwich - Tim Krul 

Norwich ended a three-match away losing run with a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Newcastle and the Canaries have goalkeeper Tim Krul to thank for the point. The Dutchman made six saves as he kept a clean sheet in the stalemate at St. James' Park to help gain a WhoScored rating of 8.24. 

Watford 2-3 Everton - Yerry Mina 

10-man Everton came from two goals down to win 3-2 at Watford, with Yerry Mina, like Rudiger, another goalscoring centre-back to feature in the Saturday star man countdown. The Colombian hit the back of the net twice from two shots, while five aerial duels won - an impressive feat against Troy Deeney - and four clearances helped the defender land a WhoScored rating of 8.45. 

West Ham 3-3 Brighton - Robert Snodgrass 

Robert Snodgrass can hold his head up high after West Ham threw away a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with Brighton. The Scotland international had a direct hand in all three Hammers goals at the London Stadium, scoring two and assisting one from respective returns of three shots and two key passes. Two tackles helped Snodgrass to a WhoScored rating of 9.03 and the man of the match award. 

Bournemouth 2-1 Aston Villa - Philip Billing 

In the battle to beat the drop, Bournemouth secured a huge three points at relegation rivals' Aston Villa's expense. Philip Billing scored the first goal to set the Cherries on their way to a 2-1 home win, with back-to-back victories moving them out of the bottom three. Billing's goal came from one of two shots, but it was his fine work off the ball that caught the eye as the Dane won seven aerial duels and made seven tackles to yield a WhoScored rating of 8.99. 

Crystal Palace 0-1 Sheffield United - Oliver Norwood 

It was the case of fifth time is the charm for Sheffield United on Saturday. Having drawn on their previous four trips to London, the Blades secured a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace courtesy of a Vicente Guaita own goal. The match marked a fine showing from Oliver Norwood, who worked tirelessly off the ball to ensure Palace struggled to get in the game as he made three tackles, two clearances and one interception to help earn a WhoScored rating of 7.50. 

Manchester United 0-0 Wolves - Aaron Wan-Bissaka 

Rounding off Saturday's action was Manchester United's drab 0-0 draw with Wolves. United were held on home turf, but it was another fine showing from young right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The England hopeful ensured the Wolves attack struggled to get a look in as Wan-Bissaka reinforced his statistically calculated strength of 'tackling', making eight tackles in the stalemate.
