Fernandes one of two Man Utd representatives in Liverpool-heavy combined XI

Manchester United and Liverpool resume rivalries at Old Trafford with a spot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup up for grabs. Ahead of this one, we take a look at the combined XI between the two teams of those to have made five or more Premier League appearances this season. It doesn't make for great reading for United fans...

Andre Onana (Manchester United) - 6.87

The first of only two Manchester United players to make this XI, Andre Onana may have come in for criticism following his summer arrival but the Cameroon international has still kept eight clean sheets this season; only David Raya (9) has kept more. That's helped Onana to a WhoScored rating of 6.87.

Conor Bradley (Liverpool) - 7.58

Conor Bradley has been a revelation for Liverpool since his emergence as a first team regular for the Reds. The youngster has provided three assists and scored once in his six appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side to contribute towards his inclusion here.

Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool) - 6.90

While he is a huge doubt for the FA Cup meeting today, Ibrahima Konate's WhoScored rating of 6.90 is enough to make this XI. The Frenchman has been superb alongside Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool defence and his potential absence is a blow.

Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) - 7.30

Liverpool's skipper is leading by example this season as evidenced by a WhoScored rating of 7.30, that better than any other centre-back in the Premier League. The 32-year-old boasts a fine tackle success rate of 93.9% and has been directly involved in four goals to help boost his rating.

Andrew Robertson (Liverpool) - 7.00

Rounding off an all-Liverpool backline is left-back Andrew Robertson. Injury has restricted the Scot to just 11 league starts this term, and even when fit; Robertson hasn't been at his best. Nevertheless, a WhoScored rating of 7.00 is enough to make the cut.

Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool) - 7.00

After a superb start to life on Merseyside, Dominik Szoboszlai's performances have gone a little off the boil, with injury hindering the Hungarian's form. The 23-year-old has still scored three and provided two assists for Liverpool this season, a solid haul in his debut campaign in England.

Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool) - 7.09

Alexis Mac Allister started the season as the deepest-lying midfielder in the Liverpool side but the rise of Wataru Endo as a key man in the middle of the park has seen the Argentine given greater license to get forward. Indeed, Mac Allister has been directly involved in seven goals in his last seven competitive outings.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 7.22

While Bruno Fernandes has been directly involved in just 10 league goals this season, it's not for want of trying. Fernandes ranks eighth for shots (71) and top for key passes (82) in England's top tier to justify his inclusion with a WhoScored rating of 7.22.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) - 7.43

The best rated player in the combined XI, Mohamed Salah is also the third best rated player in the Premier League this season having earned a WhoScored rating of 7.43. Salah has scored 15 times in England's top tier this term, and provided nine assists. Manchester United are his favourite career opponents, too, so back the Egypt forward to be among the goals today.

Darwin Nunez (Liverpool) - 7.07

Liverpool's Agent of Chaos leads the charge in this XI having returned a WhoScored rating of 7.07. Darwin Nunez has scored 10 times and registered seven assists and while he is underperforming his xG in the Premier League this season, the Uruguayan forward is capable of wreaking havoc in the opposition box.

Luis Diaz (Liverpool) - 6.96

Joining Salah and Nunez on the frontline is Luis Diaz, who has earned a WhoScored rating of 6.96 in England's top tier this term. The Colombian winger has scored six and provided three assists this season, while Diaz has also completed more dribbles (42) than any other Liverpool player in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.
