You vs WhoScored: Premier League Form Rankings Ahead of Gameweek 32
It's that time of the week that we bring you our WhoScored.com form rankings in association with MondoGoal following the latest round of Premier League fixtures.
Later in the week we’ll be revealing our WhoScored Expert’s fantasy football XI but first we give an extra helping hand ahead of the weekend's upcoming ‘You vs WhoScored’ contest by naming the players that have most impressed in recent matches. The rankings are restricted to players that have featured in at least 3 of their side's last 5 league games and are based on the last 3 WhoScored.com ratings secured from said run of games.
Goalkeepers
While Mark Schwarzer's perhaps surprise appearance at the top of the rankings for goalkeepers suggests that the veteran was a little unfortunate to lose his replace to fit-again Kasper Schmeichel for Leicester, it's the Dane's opposite number from the weekend that is perhaps most impressive here. West Ham shot stopper Adrian continues to shine while his side falter and produced a second successive penalty save to keep the Londoners in the game on Saturday.
The Spaniard will be hoping to continue a fine run of form as Allardyce's men return to the capital this weekend to host a Stoke side that have lost three successive matches for only the second time this season. Elsewhere Thibaut Courtois is the big faller from last week, dropping out of the top 8 altogether, while Tim Howard climbs to fourth following a rating of 7.45 against Southampton and will be aiming for back-to-back clean sheets when Everton make the trip to Swansea.

Defenders
Having conceded just once in their last 3 matches it's perhaps little surprise to see three Everton players rank among the top four in-form defenders in the league right now. While Leighton Baines (7.79) and John Stones (7.76) place third and fourth respectively it is captain Phil Jagielka who leads the way having scored the only goal of the game at the weekend for a second successive man of the match award from WhoScored.com. With 5 clean sheets and no defeats in 7 Premier League meetings with Swansea, Jagielka and co. will hope to continue their much-improved defensive showings.
The one player stuck amidst those Toffees in second is Leicester captain Wes Morgan, who will be hoping to lead the Foxes to a much needed second successive win at West Brom this weekend. Elsewhere Laurent Koscielny (7.70), if fit, will be confident of keeping a Burnley side that have netted just once in their last 5 games at bay to inspire the resurgent Gunners to what would be a season-record eighth successive league victory.

Midfielders
It's little surprise to see Eden Hazard (8.63) climb to the top of the form leaderboard for midfielders following his goal and assist against Stoke at the weekend. He's followed by Cheikhou Kouyate, who flourished for West Ham despite defeat to Leicester, notching in a more advanced role than usual from one of 4 shots at the King Power Stadium. Meanwhile Ander Herrera's impressive form culminated in a match-winning brace against Villa and the Spaniard will get his first taste of a Manchester derby on Sunday.
Elsewhere the performances of Matty Phillips have been eye-catching and the winger has impressed since returning to the side, not least in action at Villa Park in midweek. The QPR man joins Kouyate, Herrera and Mata as the new arrivals in the top 10 midfielders after a goal and two assists against Villa were enough to earn a WhoScored.com rating of 9.20, with the 24-year old registering all 7 of his assists and 2 league goals this season in his last 8 appearances.

Forwards
There's no real shock at the top of the form rankings for forwards, as Olivier Giroud's late strike against Liverpool marked his sixth successive goalscoring display in the league. The Frenchman is now just 2 goals shy of his tally last season despite making just 20 top-flight appearances this time around, with 14, and will be looking to move ever closer when Arsenal aim to replicate a 3-0 win over Burnley from last November. Meanwhile a Christian Benteke hat-trick in midweek took his tally to 7 from his last 5 appearances, with Tottenham next up for returning Tim Sherwood's side.
Glenn Murray continued his impressive streak in front of goal in Palace's shock win over Manchester City to move up the rankings, while Charlie Austin scored in back-to-back games to gain a place in the top 10. Elsewhere a brace from Bafetimbi Gomis and wonder goal from Wayne Rooney saw them move onto the leaderboard following ratings of 8.80 and 8.32 against Hull and Aston Villa respectively.
