Fanteam Fantasy Football: Serie A goalmachine among Euro 2020 qualifier tips

We are now in the home stretch of Euro 2020 qualification, with just one round of group games remaining for most countries. Before turning our attention to the weekend's Premier League action, there is one more Euro 2020 qualification contest to enter on Fanteam Fantasy Football.

As always, we will reveal our XI for Monday's pre-determined matches and offer in-depth analysis on three of our choices. If you haven't signed up yet, what are you playing at! Get involved here.

Ciro Immobile (Italy) - 14.5M

Italy have a perfect record in Group J and will hope to round off their campaign with 10 wins from 10 when they host Armenia on Monday. With top spot already secured, Roberto Mancini is expected to make wholesale changes to his usual starting XI against Armenia to provide some of the squad's fringe players with the chance to impress.

There are few opportunities between now and Euro 2020 for players to work their way into the first-team picture for next summer's championship and it's important they take their chance on Monday. Ciro Immobile is currently behind Torino striker Andrea Belotti in the pecking order but is expected to start against Armenia.

Immobile has been in astonishing goalscoring form for Lazio this season and can consider himself unlucky not to be Italy's first-choice striker at the moment. The 29-year-old has remarkably played a direct hand in 19 goals in 12 league appearances in 2019/20 (14 goals, five assists). Immobile averages a goal or an assist every 49.4 minutes of playing time in Serie A this term.

Alexander Isak (Sweden) - 12.9M

Sweden secured their place at Euro 2020 with a 2-0 win away to Romania on Friday night to lift the pressure ahead of Monday's meeting with the Faroe Islands. Sweden would have been expected to overcome the Faroe Islands with ease anyway, but now head coach Janne Andersson can give some fringe players a chance to impress here.

Aleksander Isak will hope to benefit from any rotation applied to stake a claim for a starting berth at next summer's championships. The highly rated 20-year-old has done well to pick up his career following a disappointing stint at Borussia Dortmund, though has been forced to be patient at Real Sociedad this season.

Isak has made 13 league appearances for the LaLiga side this term, though only two of those have been starts. He has netted two goals in that time and has an impressive strike rate of a goal every 119.9 minutes of league action in 2019. In fact, when factoring in assists, Isak is playing a direct hand in a league goal every 85.7 minutes of playing time in this calendar year.

Joshua King (Norway) - 15.1M

It might come as a shock to learn Joshua King is the joint-most expensive player on Fanteam Fantasy Football for Monday's Euro 2020 contest, but there is reasoning. Norway conclude their campaign with a home match against bottom-dwellers Malta.

Malta have conceded 25 goals across their nine group games thus far and scored only two goals in return. With that in mind, Fanteam Fantasy Football have priced King accordingly, with the expectation that he will score plenty of points on Monday night. Even if the Bournemouth striker is pricey, you can't just ignore him as an option with the likelihood that he will score against the Group F minnows.
