Revealed: Man City stars dominate list of best individual Premier League performances

The 2019/20 Premier League season came to an end on Sunday as Bournemouth and Watford suffered the heartache of relegation on the final day of the campaign. At the other end of the table, Manchester United and Chelsea secured a top-four spot alongside champions Liverpool and Manchester City, with Leicester and Tottenham finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

With the season over, we take a look at the best rated individual performances from 2019/20. There were 17 perfect 10 WhoScored rating performances this term, so we're picking out six of the very best across the campaign using our unique rating system...

6. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) vs Watford

Remember Manchester City's 8-0 win over Watford? It's hard to believe that happened in 2019/20, but in their third home league match of the campaign, City absolutely tore the Hornets to shreds. Pep Guardiola's side have made a habit of destroying Watford and this match in September was no exception. Kevin De Bruyne was one of four City players to earn a perfect 10 rating on home turf as he provided two assists and scored one goal. Eight key passes and four successful dribbles capped a pretty fine day at the office for the Belgian.

5. Jamie Vardy (Leicester) vs Southampton

At number five, it's....... Jamie Vardy. Back in October, Leicester made history as they romped to a 9-0 win at Southampton in a rain-soaked mauling at St. Mary's. Vardy bagged three goals in the victory, which ultimately put him on the path to securing the Golden Boot, becoming the oldest winner of the award in Premier League history. On the south coast that evening, Vardy hit the back of the net with three of his five shots, while two successful dribbles saw him land the man of the match award.

4. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) vs Norwich

With the final perfect 10 performance of the campaign coming on the final day of the season, Kevin De Bruyne makes this list for the second time. As Manchester City romped to a 5-0 win over Norwich, De Bruyne had a direct hand in three goals, with his one assist in the victory bringing him up to 20 for the season, matching Theirry Henry's record from 2002/03. With that assist coming from 10 key passes, that in itself a record in a Premier League match this season, De Bruyne's performance against the Canaries is statistically the fourth best in a game this term.

3. Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) vs Watford

The second best rated performance of the season from Manchester City's 8-0 win over Watford, and third best overall, 50% of Bernardo Silva's 2019/20 goal haul came in the thumping win over the Hornets. Indeed, the Portuguese attacker was on hand to bag a hat-trick in the victory, hitting the back of the net with three of five shots. A 96.4% pass success rate, two key passes, two successful dribbles and four tackles sees the 25-year-old podium in this countdown.

2. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) vs Aston Villa

The final Manchester City inclusion in this rundown is Sergio Aguero, whose season was cruelly cut short after sustaining a knee injury in their 5-0 win over Burnley. The Argentine will have fancied his chances of landing the Golden Boot this term, particularly after his hat-trick in City's 6-1 win at Aston Villa back in January. The Argentine hitman mustered seven shots in all in the victory at Villa Park, while one of his two key passes resulted in the assist for Riyad Mahrez's opening goal. An additional four successful dribbles capped a superb afternoon for the 32-year-old.

1. Michail Antonio (West Ham) vs Norwich

Pipping Aguero to top spot here is Michail Antonio. The West Ham star scored four times in the Hammers' 4-0 win at Norwich earlier this month and in a 78-minute display, scored more Premier League goals at Carrow Road than the Canaries managed in 2020 (3). It could have been worse for Norwich, too, with Antonio mustering nine shots in all. The 30-year-old was unlucky not to lay on an assist in the victory as he made three key passes, but those chances created, along with five successful dribbles and five aerial duels won, saw Antonio turn out, statistically, the best rated WhoScored performance in a Premier League match in 2019/20
