Martial the pick of five Man Utd players in Europa League Team of the Week

Manchester United made hard work of their quarter-final tie with FC Copenhagen, requiring extra-time to progress to the last four of the Europa League, but the Red Devils got over the line courtesy of another Bruno Fernandes penalty.

Despite a narrow 1-0 victory, it ended up being a dominant display from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, who would have romped clear to victory had it not been for an inspired goalkeeping display from FC Copenhagen's Karl-Johan Johnsson. The 30-year-old made 13 saves, some out of this world - the most in a European game all season.

Even though it was Fernandes that stole the headlines, Anthony Martial was undoubtedly United's best player on the night. Martial made a slow start to the game but was unplayable by the end of it, winning the decisive spot-kick that saw United through. Copenhagen defenders wilted as soon as he got on the ball, with Martial completing five dribbles.

The France international is joined in our Europa League team of the week by United team-mates Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Harry Maguire and Brandon Williams, all of whom turned in accomplished displays on Monday night.

Shakhtar Donetsk are the next best represented side in the XI, following their impressive 4-1 win over FC Basel on Tuesday. The Ukranian side have four players in the team and all are Brazilian. Dodo, Taison and Junior Moraes all grabbed a goal each, while Marlos registered two assists.

Completing the team is Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde, who coped well with the threat Wolves posed on the break on the rare occasion they got to venture forward. The 21-year-old completed 96.3% of his attempted passes, won four aerial duels and made three tackles and interceptions combined.
