The last shots for title could be fired this weekend, even if there is more than a month to go before the end of the season. The Ligue 1 title has already been assigned and Europe’s other top leagues are close to being settled.
AC Milan vs Juventus - Draw First Half @2.00
The is effectively one of the last obstacles for Juventus to navigate, and it may not even be that tough, as Milan is deep in crisis and spent the whole of last week at the training camp as ordered by the owner after a defeat to Atalanta. Some rumours even suggest that Sinisa Mihajlovic could be fired if he loses here. Juventus, who have won 19 of their last 20 league games, couldn't be more of a zenith to Milan’s nadir. The Rossoneri have two starting midfielders out, so will hand a debut to youngster Manuel Locatelli, who is tipped to be the next big thing.
Juventus are without Paulo Dybala and Sami Khedira, but they have strength in depth to cover their absences. Milan will play a defensive game in order to preserve their honour. Paul Pogba and Giacomo Bonaventura will operate as left wingers and can create a moment of magic in such a controlled game, however.
Tottenham vs Manchester United - Tottenham @1.90
With such a large gap between themselves and Leicester, Tottenham could lack the confidence to become champions. They do, though, host a Manchester United side that is fearful of its own shadow. Louis van Gaal will look to out-tactic opposite number Mauricio Pochettinio, which is the only way they can match Spurs.
United have won only two of the last seven away games, while Spurs have won their five of their last seven at home, conceding defeat to Leicester and drawing with Arsenal. The chance for Tottenham to secure their first home league win over United since 2001 is there for the taking. In fact, the WhoScored match forecast shows that the only two scoring scenarios both favour Tottenham.
Valencia vs Sevilla - Draw @3.40
Not even the sacking of Gary Neville has brought Valencia much joy. Up until a few weeks ago, there was still talk of a chance to secure European football, now the relegation zone is looming incredibly close. It’s good for Valencia that they host Sevilla, who are almost out from Champions League hunt, but in between the two legs of a Europa League tie. For both of them, a conservative game could be the most beneficial. The WhoScored match forecast suggests it is 'likely' that Valencia will ‘make a comeback if they go behind’, while Sevilla are, incredibly, the only side in Europe’s top five leagues yet to win an away game this season.
Schalke vs Borussia Dortmund - Draw @4.00
There are good odds on a draw in the Ruehr derby, despite Schalke’s focus on a Champions League race, while Borussia Dortmund are distracted as they look to turn around their first leg Europa League result with Liverpool. There are four teams involved in the race for fourth place with one point separating the quartet, so even a draw could be important.
Montpellier v Lyon - Both Teams To Score @1.75
The usual good odds of both teams to score in a Ligue 1 game are available, considering that is the top league with lowest goal average. Lyon have had both teams score in five of their last six league encounters.
