Fantasy Football: Who to buy sell and captain for gameweek 10

We have had a look through the fixtures for gameweek 10 in the Premier League and picked out some tips worth considering for your fantasy football teams.

Who to buy: Riyad Mahrez (Man City) - 8.2M

Pep Guardiola will bank on the welcome of Burnley proving the catalyst for change for his goal-shy Manchester City side this weekend. City have won their last six home matches against the Clarets and have remarkably won this fixture by a 5-0 scoreline on the last three occasions. With Fernandinho and Sergio Aguero back fit, Guardiola will hope to regain some stability in midfield and firepower in attack.

However, it is worth considering Riyad Mahrez for Saturday's welcome of Burnley. After only getting 14 minutes as a substitute against Olympiacos in midweek, it's likely Mahrez will return to the fold this weekend. The 29-year-old has a superb record against Burnley, with five goals in eight previous Premier League encounters. In fact, against only Watford has Mahrez scored more Premier League goals against in his career. Selected in just 2.2% of Fantasy Football teams, he could prove an astute pick-up this weekend.

Who to sell: Anthony Martial (Man Utd) - 8.7M

If you haven't given up faith in him yet, then what are you playing at. Anthony Martial is without a goal or an assist in five Premier League appearances this season. He actually has more red cards (1) than goal contributions in the league this season and is now in danger of being moved out wide to accomodate Edinson Cavani.

Martial's woes have carried over on to the international scene with France, where he went through the UEFA Nations League group campaign with more missed clear-cut chances (7) than any other player in the competition. Even more astonishing when you consider he only started half of France's group games. Unbeaten in their last seven matches, Southampton are in great form and should be confident of ensuring Martial has another day to forget this weekend.

Captain Consideration

Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min spring to mind as obvious contenders to take the armband this weekend given their form for Tottenham. However, it's worth considering neither have particularly impressive records against London rivals Chelsea, whom they face away from home on Sunday.

Kane has four goals in 11 previous Premier League appearances against Chelsea, which isn't terrible, but only one of those goals have fallen in the last seven. Moreover, he hasn't scored at Stamford Bridge since the start of 2016.Son, meanwhile, only has two goals in nine Premier League appearances against Chelsea and two in 11 encounters in all competitions. His last goal at Stamford Bridge came in the same fixture as Kane's last away to Chelsea.

While both are in the right form to change that trend, the fact Chelsea have won their last six and have kept a clean sheet in six of their last eight suggests you should perhaps look elsewhere for your captain's pick this weekend.

Sergio Aguero is by no means a banker to start for City this weekend given he has only just returned from injury but if you are feeling brave then it could pay dividends for your team. The Argentine forward has scored nine goals in his last nine appearances against Burnley and has a WhoScored rating of 7.57 in that time.
