This weekend will reveal a lot about where the title may end up in several of Europe’s top leagues and for that reason there are attractive odds in places where you may otherwise not expect.
Hertha Berlin vs Bayern Munich – Draw @4.50
There are absolutely fantastic odds available in this fixture as fourth pit their wits against the league leaders. Bayern Munich are expected to rest some players with their attentions firmly set on their Champions League encounter with Atletico Madrid. The fact they have a seven-point cushion over Borussia Dortmund with four matches remaining also offers them freedom to rotate.
Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid – Draw @5.50
The big news is that Real Madrid will have to do this without Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portugal international, who is the only outfield player to have featured in every minute of La Liga action up to now, has a groin injury and has been left to rest for Manchester City next week. The rest of the Madrid players are likely to have one eye on their Champions League semi-final as well and that could give Rayo a chance of springing an upset and aiding their bid to avoid the drop simultaneously. The La Liga strugglers have only lost one of their last eight home matches and every point will count from now until the end of the season. The WhoScored Match Forecast predicts it as ‘very likely’ that Rayo will comeback if they go behind.
Leicester vs Swansea – Both Teams to Score @2.05
Two Italian managers will pit their wits against each other in what should be a tactical masterpiece. Leicester will be without top goalscorer Jamie Vardy (22), who is suspended following his red card last time out. The Foxes last failed to score in a league match in the first match of 2016, while Swansea have also scored in seven of their last eight away matches.
Fiorentina vs Juventus – Draw @3.30
Juventus will be crowned champions if they take more points than Napoli over the weekend. Fiorentina have dropped from Champions League contenders into a battle for Europa League qualification for next season. Their manager has been speaking with other clubs and there is a hostile atmosphere at the Franchi. The Viola have a deep rooted rivalry with Juventus and they will be keen to avoid another humiliation. Juventus’ performances have also dropped recently but they are still winning. They’ll have to wait until Monday for the result from Roma-Napoli, but a draw could be good enough to see them to the Serie A title with four games remaining.
Roma vs Napoli – Over 1.5 Goals in Second Half @1.83
Gonzalo Higuain returns from suspension a match early after successfully appealing his four-match ban. Napoli didn’t struggle to find the back of the net without him but they are a different beast with the Argentine international, who has scored at least 14 more goals than any other player in Serie A this season (30). Roma currently occupy third and they have Francesco Totti to thank that they are seven points clear of Inter. The game may be a slow burner but it should spring to life in the second half. In fact, there have been over 1.5 goals in the second half in five of Roma’s last seven home league matches.
