Fernandes from the spot as Man Utd pip Chelsea to third

One point separated Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester coming into the final day of the season and one team was set to miss out on a Champions League finish in the Premier League...

16:00 - Kick Off

16:13 - In their quest to finish sixth, Tottenham have the advantage over Wolves as Harry Kane finds the back of the net at Crystal Palace. However, they need their London rivals Chelsea to do them a favour if they are to finish third.

16:46 - Mason Mount puts Chelsea ahead as half time nears in could prove a vital goal in the race to finish in the Champions League spots and the battle to finish sixth.

16:49 - Deep into first half injury time, Olivier Giroud doubles Chelsea's advantage. As things stand, the Blues are finishing third.

Half time:

Chelsea 2-0 Wolves

Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham

Leicester 0-0 Manchester United

17:10 - Crystal Palace draw level through Jeffrey Schlupp, a strike that ends the Eagles' three-game run without a goal. Spurs are now level with Wolves on points, but are up to sixth as they boast a better goal difference.

17:19 - Close for Leicester! Jamie Vardy is inches from putting Leicester ahead as he heads Youri Tielemans' free-kick onto the crossbar. How important will that goal prove to be come full time?

17:28 - Fairly important as it turned out as Manchester United go ahead through Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese midfielder puts United ahead from the spot with his fourth penalty of the season; only Marcus Rashford has scored more penalties (6) than Fernandes in the Premier League this term.

17:51 - Full time at Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace come from behind to draw 1-1 with Tottenham.

17:52 - To cap off a disappointing second half to the season for Leicester, Jonny Evans is sent off in injury time against former employers Manchester United.

17:56 - The full time whistle goes at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea secure their top-four finish with a 2-0 win over Wolves, a result that means Tottenham finish sixth.

17:57 - And it gets worse for Leicester as Jesse Lingard doubles Manchester United's advantage deep into second half injury time.

18:00 - It's game over at the King Power Stadium as Manchester United seal a 2-0 win to secure a Champions League finish.

Full time:

Chelsea 2-0 Wolves

Crystal Palace 1-1 Tottenham

Leicester 0-2 Manchester United

Manchester United and Chelsea finish in the top four, while Leicester and Tottenham secure a Europa League spot. Wolves will do so, too, if Arsenal lose the FA Cup final next weekend.
