Everyday, Football INDEX highlights the five biggest market movers of a 24-hour period. Here are the current five:

1. STEVEN BERGHUIS (FEYENOORD)

Fresh from the conclusion of the Eredivisie regular season, Feyenoord forward Steven Berghuis has caused a real stir on Football INDEX in the last 24 hours.

The Netherland international’s Football INDEX share price has increased 27.87% in the last day of trading, acknowledging his fine season.

Berghuis played a direct hand in 30 goals in 31 league matches, finishing with a stunning WhoScored rating of 7.78.

Will the 26-year-old earn a high profile move in the summer? Prospective Premier League clubs will likely proceed with caution due to a failed 12-month stint at Watford.

Berghuis failed to start a Premier League game for Watford during the 2015/16 campaign before returning to Holland the following season.

Despite a fine individual campaign, Berghuis might be one to avoid on Football INDEX for now.

2. JAMES WARD-PROWSE (SOUTHAMPTON)

With relegation a real possibility for Southampton, James Ward-Prowse will likely be in demand for several lower-end Premier League clubs.

The 23-year-old has failed to hit the heights his early promised showed but his Football INDEX share price has still increased 10.81% in the last 24 hours.

Ward-Prowse has only started 20 league matches this season, making a further nine appearances as a substitute.

There will certainly be interest in Ward-Prowse if Southampton are relegated, but he should not be considered for your Football INDEX portfolios.

The former England Under-21 international’s performances simply do not justify a place in your portfolio, even if his share price is only £0.90.

3. MARKO PJACA (SCHALKE)

There was a lot of hype around Marko Pjaca following his performances at Euro 2016, but injuries have really stifled the Croatian’s development since then.

Pjaca is still looking to make an impact at Juventus after joining the Serie A giants in the wake of his displays at the Euros two years ago.

The 23-year-old joined Schalke on loan at the start of the year, but has gradually dropped out of favour despite a promising start.

Pjaca has only managed 260 minutes of playing time in the Bundesliga in 2018, but has netted twice in that time.

However, Pjaca will head back to Juventus at the end of the season and his future remains unclear.

It’s unlikely Pjaca will be afforded many first-team opportunities at Juventus next season so another loan move may be on the cards in the summer.

However, his Football INDEX share price is unlikely to increase too much based on his performances for Schalke.

4. SAMI KHEDIRA (JUVENTUS)

With just over 12 months remaining on his existing deal, Sami Khedira likely only has one more season left at Juventus.

The Old Lady are desperately trying to sign Emre Can after identifying the Liverpool midfielder as Khedira’s long-term successor in midfield.

Despite his advancing years, Khedira has been in prolific form for Juventus this season.

The 31-year-old is enjoying his best goalscoring league campaign in the last nine years after netting his ninth goal of the season in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Bologna.

The Germany international’s Football INDEX share price has increased 9.88% in the last 24 hours, but he is one to avoid for your portfolios.

5. THOMAS DELANEY (WERDER BREMEN)

The WhoScored Expert tipped Thomas Delaney as a player to add on Football INDEX as part of a World Cup special at the end of March when his share price was just £0.65.

Now the Werder Bremen midfielder is trading at £0.80 a share after being linked with a summer move to Tottenham and Brighton.

The Denmark international has enjoyed a productive season for Bremen in the Bundesliga this term and a good showing at the 2018 World Cup could secure him a high profile move.

His Football INDEX share price has increased nearly 10% in the last 24 hours and he should be considered for your Football INDEX portfolios with the World Cup in mind.
