Premier League round-up: Wednesday’s star men revealed

Bournemouth 4-0 Chelsea - Joshua King - 10.0 rating

Bournemouth took Chelsea to the cleaners on Wednesday to pile further misery and pressure on Maurizio Sarri. Joshua King scored twice and registered one assist to garner a perfect WhoScored 10 rating against the west London outfit. King had five shots, created five goalscoring chances and completed three dribbles in a mesmerising performance on the south coast.

Southampton 1-1 Crystal Palace - Jan Bednarek - 7.90 rating

Jan Bednarek’s stunning resurgence under Ralph Hasenhuttl continued on Wednesday night, as the 22-year-old centre-back earned his first successive WhoScored Man of the Match award. The Poland international ensured Southampton earned a point against relegation rivals Crystal Palace with a clearance off the line and a last man tackle. He also won five aerial duels, completed three tackles and made seven clearances.

Liverpool 1-1 Leicester - Ben Chilwell - 8.18 rating

Leicester did superbly to weather an early storm, in which they went behind after three minutes, and salvage a point courtesy of Harry Maguire’s guided effort on the stroke of half-time. Ben Chilwell put the ball into an area for an unmarked Maguire to finish and the England left-back finished as the WhoScored Man of the Match. The 22-year-old won seven aerial duels and completed 16 clearances to help limit Liverpool to just one shot on target after the fifth minute.

Tottenham 2-1 Watford - Heung-Min Son - 8.15 rating

Tottenham sorely missed Heung-Min Son’s dynamism in attack during his time at the Asian Cup and he capped his return with his ninth league goal of the season, helping Spurs come from behind to beat Watford. Son had five attempts in total, while also completing five dribbles in a live-wire performance up front alongside match-winner Fernando Llorente.
