Bayern secure services of Liverpool and Tottenham target

Bayern Munich have confirmed that Benjamin Pavard will join from VfB Stuttgart at the end of the season.

The Frenchman, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool and Tottenham, has been courted by the Bundesliga champions for some time.

And on Wednesday, the Bavarian powerhouse announced he’ll move to the Allianz Arena in the summer.

“I can confirm that Benjamin Pavard will join us on a five-year deal from 1st July 2019,” Bayern sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic, confirmed.

Bayern remain in the hunt to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea this month.

Real Madrid looking to beat Manchester United to Brazilian defender

Marca reports that Real Madrid are looking to muscle in on any move for Manchester United target and FC Porto defender Eder Militao.

The Brazilian has excelled following his arrival from Sao Paulo and has a better WhoScored rating (7.46) than any other centre-back in Liga NOS this season.

Porto paid just €4m to sign Militao last summer, but they stand to make a huge profit on the 20-year-old when they do decide to sell.

Wolves to deter potential suitors Tottenham in star man

Wolves are working on offering defender Matt Doherty a new deal in order to ward off interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham, reports the Daily Mirror.

The 26-year-old has impressed following Wolves’ return to top-flight football with Doherty having a direct hand in seven league goals this season.

His good form has attracted interest from Tottenham, but Wolves are now working on offering Doherty a new contract to tie him down to a long-term deal at Molineux.

Manchester United target the subject of PSG interest

PSG have earmarked Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini as a possible new arrival this month, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the Italian, who has chipped in with 4.8 key passes per 90 in the Champions League.

PSG have been keen on adding a new midfielder to the squad in January, but have been frustrated in their attempts to land Abdoulaye Doucoure from Watford.

Aston Villa would need to pay record fee for striker

Aston Villa would need to make Neal Maupay the most expensive player in Championship history in order to convince Brentford to sell their star striker, reports the London Evening Standard.

Villa had considered a move for the Frenchman as a possible replacement for Tammy Abraham, who was linked with a January switch to Wolves.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Villans would pursue their interest in Maupay with Abraham electing to stay at Villa Park.

Top striker target agrees personal terms with Chelsea

Chelsea haven’t given up on signing Gonzalo Higuain this month, despite reports earlier in the year suggesting a move was out of the question, reports Marca.

A possible reunion with Maurizio Sarri is on the cards as Chelsea aim to secure a new striker, with Alvaro Morata expected to leave this month, and Higuain remains the club’s number one target.

Sarri is desperate to sign a new frontman and is keen to link up with Higuain again and reports suggest both player and club have agreed terms on a deal that would see the Argentine move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea now need to convince Juventus to cut his loan with AC Milan short, which would pave the way for a move to west London.
