After arriving from Celtic for a reported £30m in the final week of the transfer window, Matt O’Riley was forced off injured inside just seven minutes of his Brighton debut.
The Denmark international is set to remain sidelined until early November with an ankle injury.
Another summer addition, Brajan Gruda, is yet to make a Premier League appearance for the Seagulls so far this season.
Gruda has been out with a ‘small injury’ since pre-season, but has now returned to full training, and could make his return over the next few weeks.
39-year-old Brighton midfielder James Milner is often admired for his durability, but the former Liverpool man has been ruled out with a hamstring issue since the draw at Arsenal three weeks ago.
Milner is believed to be targeting a return to fitness in early October.
After missing the majority of the 2023/24 campaign with a long-term knee injury, Brighton winger Solly March is yet to make his return to the pitch.
The 30-year-old continues to recover, with no plans to rush back from what has been a serious issue. No return date is currently set.
Brighton attacker Joao Pedro returned from the international break with a minor issue, and could have played last weekend, but sat out the draw with Ipswich.
The 22-year-old has since returned to training, and should now be cleared to play against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
