Yahoo! Fantasy Football: Chelsea set to thrash former Premier League champions

Goalkeeper – JACK BUTLAND

Only two goalkeepers have a higher WhoScored rating than Jack Butland in the Premier League this season (7.20) and he will need to be at his best to keep out a rampant Manchester United attack this weekend.

Given Stoke are unbeaten in their last four home meetings with United, Butland should rake in the points on Saturday and continue his fine start to the season for the Potters.

Defender – ANTONIO RUDIGER

Chelsea are slowly gathering pace and they should continue their resurgence against Leicester this weekend. Antonio Conte’s side kept clean sheets home and away against the Foxes last term and Antonio Rudiger is a cheap option to consider this weekend, especially with Gary Cahill out suspended.

Defender – PHIL JONES

Phil Jones has made a superb start to the season and has been an integral part of a United defence that is yet to concede, prompting England manager Gareth Southgate to label him the best defender in the country at the moment.

He is currently a top-20 Yahoo! Fantasy Football form player and Jones is primed to get more points as United look to keep a fourth clean sheet on the spin when they travel to Stoke this weekend

Defender – SAED KOLASINAC

Arsene Wenger will have learned his lesson about selecting players out of position and this should result in Kolasinac returning to the starting XI on Saturday. Bournemouth are one of the only teams to have endured a worse start to the season than the Gunners and this should benefit Arsenal and help lift morale around the club.

Only two teams have scored fewer goals than Bournemouth in the league this season (1) and that will only boost Arsenal’s chances of keeping their first clean sheet of the season.

Midfielder – AARON RAMSEY

Arsenal have failed to score in their last two matches and Arsene Wenger will need his midfielders to step up and help the strikers in the final third this weekend. Aaron Ramsey is one of those that needs to improve his goalscoring record and the reception of Bournemouth should enable the Welshman to open his account for the season.

Midfielder – MOUSA DEMBELE

Looking for low-cost but effective players is one of the keys to being successful in fantasy football games and Dembele is an ideal player that ticks that box on Yahoo! One of the best players in the Premier League, the all-action Tottenham midfielder is capable of raking in fantasy points and he will be one of the most involved players on the pitch when Spurs travel to Everton on Saturday.

Midfielder – HENRIKH MKHITARYAN

The United ace is currently the highest WhoScored rated player (8.49) in the Premier League after equalling the league record for five assists in the first three matches of the season. You simply cannot leave Henrikh Mkhitaryan out of your fantasy football teams at the moment, emphasised by the fact he is a Yahoo! top-20 form player

Midfielder – NATHAN REDMOND

Southampton are still unbeaten in the league and will be looking to extend that run at the expense of Watford’s own undefeated record. Mauricio Pellegrino’s side have failed to score in two of their opening three matches and more will be required from the likes of Nathan Redmond, starting against Watford on Saturday.

Utility – CESC FABREGAS

With Chelsea set to score their biggest win of the season this weekend, it’s wise to pick a creative force that can rack up the points for your fantasy football team. Of players that have registered at least five Premier League assists since the start of last season, Fabregas has done so at the quickest rate (1 every 124.8 minutes of action). It’s a no brainer to include the Spaniard in your team this weekend particularly after his man of the match showing against prior to the international break.

Striker – HARRY KANE

Now August is done and dusted, Harry Kane will undoubtedly start banging in the goals for Tottenham for fun. The 24-year-old netted twice against Everton in the last meeting between the two sides and is primed to do so again this weekend.

Everton have not made the start many thought they would after such an ambitious summer spending spree and, as their new players continue to gel, this will be the perfect time to score three points over a main rival.

Striker – ALVARO MORATA

While Harry Kane endured another miserable August, Alvaro Morata made a fantastic start to life at Chelsea. The Spain international has played a direct hand in four goals in three appearances in the league so far this season and also scored three goals for Spain during the international break.

Chelsea have averaged three goals a game in their last six trips to the King Power Stadium, while they have also netted 10 times in the last three matches between the two sides.
