WhoScored Tipster: The Weekend's Best Betting Tips

With goals ensured in Spain, some predictable Premier League results and some tempting odds in Serie A, the focus of our accumulator is threefold.

LIKELY BETS

Granada vs Celta Vigo: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @1.80

The odds are relatively high here given that Celta Vigo have have conceded in each of their last 7 games. Meanwhile, Granada have the third worst home record in La Liga, so the disappointing defences of both teams could ensure entertainment at either end.

Hannover vs Borussia M.Gladbach: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @1.61

It's almost mandatory to bet on both teams scoring in a Bundesliga game. Hannover's last 4 matches have ended in that way. The usual proactive attitude of both sides will be helped by some particular weaknesses stressed by WhoScored's characteristics. Hannover are weak at 'defending against attacks down the wings' and 'defending counter attacks': Gladbach, meanwhile, are weak when 'defending against through ball attacks' and 'preventing opponents from creating chances'.

Augsburg vs Werder Bremen: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @1.72

We're backing another Bundesliga goal fest as Werder Bremen - who have the third worst away defence- face an Augsburg side that have conceded in 7 of their last 8 home games. WhoScored's match forecast predicts that Bremen will likely 'make a comeback if they go behind'.

TEMPTING BETS

Getafe vs Valladolid: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE @1.90

Six defeats and one draw in their last 7 games have left Getafe in a desperate situation. They'll meet a Valladolid side that surprisingly ended a torrid two months by beating Villarreal, just as their manager was rumoured to be getting the sack. Getafe are falling apart and losing this would push them right into the relegation zone, where Valladolid are trying to survive and into a position that nobody expected to see Getafe fall a few weeks ago. It will be a crucial battle, and either very tight or very open: we're voting for the latter.

Newcastle vs Sunderland: HOME WIN @2.00

The difference of 16 points and 9 positions are telling between these two. It's true, it's a derby, but for Sunderland it mattered much more that they beat Stoke last time out to carry themselves out of the relegation zone. Having Remy suspended (and not having Cabaye anymore) may see Pardew put real emphasis on this game and squeeze their team spirit, while Sunderland's positive results of late could make them feel a little overconfident.

Juventus vs Inter: JUVENTUS HT/FT @2.00

In 4 of their last 6 wins Juventus have been ahead at half time and now they are looking to react having dropped points in the league and suffered a loss in the Coppa Italia. Inter could be crushed when also considering the sense of revenge Juventus will feel after the surprising 1-3 defeat last season. The main man could be Carlos Tevez, not only tactically, but also on the scoresheet as the mismatch with Juan Jesus will favour his ability to exploit the poor timing of his opponent - Jesus has had a number of problems in that regard lately. The only doubt in this game seems not to be 'who?', but 'how much?'.

LONG-SHOT BETS

Hull vs Tottenham: AWAY WIN @2.15

The humiliation suffered against City must be put behind Spurs as soon as possible. The odds here are pretty attractive, considering that Tottenham have the second best away record. WhoScored's match forecast suggests Tottenham will likely 'control the game in the opposition's half' and 'steal the ball from the opposition often'.

Cagliari vs Fiorentina: AWAY WIN @2.25

This match will be difficult for Fiorentina, but the odds justify the risk. Missing Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez hasn't hurt Montella's offensive tactics, with their progress halted in the previous game only due to an extremely debatable refereeing performance. Cagliari are still without Ibarbo, who is able to penetrate a back four like few others, but also Cossu, who can set-up the forwards. Fiorentina will miss the maestro direction of Borja Valero, but for this reason they could be even more concrete than usual, knowing they will have to give their all to make up for his absence. WhoScored's match forecast suggests that Fiorentina will likely score 'as a result of an opposition error'.

Sochaux vs Nantes: AWAY WIN @2.40

The odds here are a bargain. Second bottom Sochaux are way behind Nantes in terms of quality, squad depth and points. Strangely Nantes have held their mid-table position by performing in a consistent way at both home and away. The WhoScored match forecast predicts that it is very likely that Nantes 'will score from a wingplay situation'.
