First Leg Recap

The first leg really had everything: Good goals, injuries, mistakes, bad defending and great goalkeeping. PSG raced into a 2-0 lead in the first 30 minutes at the Allianz Arena, before Bayern responded after half-time with two goals of their own. PSG struck again with more than 20 minutes to go and managed to hang on to a 3-2 win.

Bayern, who were without star man Robert Lewandowski, threw everything at PSG. The Bundesliga outfit finished the game with 31 shots to PSG's six, with Keylor Navas on hand to deny them time after time. Navas, who was superb against Barcelona in the round before, made 10 saves to earn his side the win.

Team News

Robert Lewandowski is back in training for Bayern Munich but won't feature here in a big blow for the trailing side. He is not their only injury concern, with Lucas Hernandez, Jerome Boateng, Kingsley Coman, Niklas Sule and Leon Goretzka all carrying knocks. Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry remains sidelined with COVID-19. David Alaba has been tipped to move into midfield for just the fourth time this season.

PSG welcome Marco Verratti back from COVID-19 but Mauricio Pochettino has conceded he is unlikely to be fit enough to start. Alessandro Florenzi has more of a chance to start after also recovering from COVID-19, while Leandro Paredes will slot back into midfield after missing the first leg through suspension. Keylor Navas came off injured at the weekend but is in the squad and is expected to start here. Marquinhos was one of the players injured in the first leg and he has been ruled out in a major blow for the home side. Danilo Pereira will drop into defence to cover for his absence.

PSG vs Bayern Munich - Champions League team news and prediction

Neymar has managed eight goal involvements in the Champions League from 476 minutes of playing time this season compared to nine goals or assists from 976 minutes of league action. The Brazilian has been in red hot form in Europe and was on hand to set up two of PSG's three goals in the first leg. Given the manner of Bayern's defending in the first leg, Neymar should expect to be in the thick of the action once again on Tuesday night.

Thomas Muller has undoubtedly been Bayern's main creator this season, as the German leads the way in Europe's top five leagues in terms of assists (16). Muller actually has more goals (2) than he does assists (1) in the Champions League this season after scoring in the first leg last week. With Robert Lewandowski out again on Tuesday, Muller may have to put his shooting boots on once again.
