England hopeful Rice surges in U21 player form rankings

Here we reveal the top-10 form players aged 21 and under across Europe's top five leagues using our unique weighted algorithm, including additional information about their Football INDEX share prices.

10. Dodi Lukebakio (Fortuna Dusseldorf) - 7.20 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £1.65

Promoted Dusseldorf have picked up in 2019 where they left off late last year, with the weekend's 4-0 win at Schalke their most impressive of the season so far. Lukebakio played a big part in said victory, scoring once and assisting another and while the on loan Watford striker hasn't always been a consistent source of goals he has led the line extremely well, completing ten dribbles and seven key passes in his last four outings.

9. Federico Chiesa (Fiorentina) - 7.23 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £3.96

Fiorentina slipped to a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Atalanta on Sunday and Federico Chiesa’s weighted rating over his last six appearances has dropped as a result. The Italian forward remains in seventh in our U21 form rankings, however. Chiesa was denied by the woodwork against Atalanta and has three goals in his last six league outings.

8. Ozan Kabak (Stuttgart) - 7.23 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £1.81

Ozan Kabak scored his first Stuttgart goals at the weekend since sealing a January switch from Turkish giants Galatasaray to enter straight in the top-10 at the first time of asking. The 18-year-old scored twice from centre-back in a 5-1 mauling of Hannover, earning the WhoScored man of the match award as a result.

7. Declan Rice (West Ham) - 7.23 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £5.09

Declan Rice made up for his headed miss against Manchester City last time out with a brilliant headed goal in a 2-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday. The 20-year-old earned the WhoScored Man of the Match against the Magpies and now looks set for his first senior England call-up later this month.

6. Allan Saint-Maximin (Nice) - 7.24 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £2.55

Allan Saint-Maximin played a decisive part in Nice’s 1-0 win over Strasbourg on Sunday to help Patrick Vieira’s side to their fourth straight home league win. Saint-Maximin supplied the assist for the only goal of the match and his performance was enough to grant him a spot in the top-10 rated U21 players on form.

5. Boubacar Kamara (Marseille) - 7.39 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £1.56

Boubacar Kamara climbs into the top-10 rated U21 players in Europe’s top five leagues after another eye-catching display for Marseille. The versatile 19-year-old defender helped Marseille overcome rivals Saint-Etienne 2-0 on Sunday night and his WhoScored rating has only dipped below a 7.00 on one occasion in his last six appearances.

4. Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan) - 7.44 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £1.21

Gianluigi Donnarumma picked up his fourth WhoScored Man of the Match award of the league campaign at the weekend. The Italy international helped AC Milan beat Sassuolo 1-0 and increase their unbeaten streak in Serie A to nine matches. Donnarumma has kept clean sheets in four of his last six matches.

3. Ibrahima Konate (RB Leipzig) - 7.44 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £1.67

Ibrahim Konate proved an unlikely provider in RB Leipzig’s hard-fought 1-0 win away to Nuernberg on Saturday. The 19-year-old centre-back supplied the assist for the only goal of the match. Konate has now helped the Bundesliga outfit keep three clean sheets in his last six appearances and he even netted his first league goal of the campaign in a 4-0 win away to Fortuna Duesseldorf in that run.

2. Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain) - 7.70 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £16.39

Kylian Mbappe’s WhoScored rating has stayed the same after helping Paris Saint-Germain to their 23rd league win of the campaign at the weekend. The France international scored both goals in a 2-1 win away to Caen on Saturday to take his league tally for the season to 24. The 20-year-old has scored in four successive league appearances, notching six goals in that time.

1. Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) - 7.76 weighted rating*

Football INDEX share price - £15.10

Jadon Sancho’s weighted rating has decreased after failing to inspire Borussia Dortmund during their shock 3-1 defeat to Augsburg on Friday night. The 18-year-old has, however, earned the WhoScored Man of the Match in two of his last six Bundesliga appearances and has played a direct hand in three goals in that time (two goals, one assist), keeping his place atop the leaderboard as a result.
