Leicester vs Atletico Madrid

It’s fair to say the game at the Calderon went as most would have expected, with the hosts keeping a clean sheet and taking a narrow advantage into the second leg at the King Power Stadium. Last week’s tip of an Atletico win with under 2.5 goals came in then, and it’s hard to resist backing a repeat occurrence.

Craig Shakespeare shocked many fans by fielding a near full strength line-up at the weekend and may yet come to regret that decision. Simeone rested the likes of Griezmann, Koke, Saul and Gabi by comparison, and will be hoping to exploit Huth’s suspension, with Morgan likely to return having only just recovered from a back injury. The odds are in the visitors’ favour then, and at 4.00 we’re backing Atletico to win to nil for the fifth game in six, but with under 2.5 goals in total.

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich

A Javi Martinez red card proved costly for Bayern at the Allianz last week and could yet be so once more, with the Spaniard now suspended at a time when Mats Hummels is sidelined. It means Alaba will move infield to play alongside Boateng at the back for the Germans, and while Madrid have problems of their own with Pepe and Varane still missing, the hosts will be confident of troubling a makeshift Bayern defence.

With issues at the back for both sides it’s little surprise the odds on both teams to score are so low at 1.40, so to pick up the value we need to go for a winner to boot. With Real Madrid winning 8 of their last 9 and Bayern winning just 1 of 4 there’s little doubt as to the form team, with a repeat of Zidane’s men winning but also conceding at 3.50.

Barcelona vs Juventus

Barcelona have won each of their last 7 matches at Camp Nou but have conceded in five of those games. When you consider that they have to take risks and leave their defence exposed in order to overturn a 3-goal deficit, it would be a surprise if Juventus didn’t take at least one of their chances. Indeed, the Old Lady last failed to score way back in October at Milan, netting in each of their 34 matches since.

Barca remain favourites for a reason, winning 14 and drawing one of their last 15 matches at Camp Nou. However, this Juventus defence is not likely to capitulate in the manner PSG’s did so spectacularly last month, so we’re tipping a narrow home win but with both teams to score, with odds at 2.62.

Monaco vs Borussia Dortmund

Everyone will surely be expecting goals once again in this one, with a total of 17 across Monaco’s three knockout matches thus far. Indeed, it’s the highest scorers in Europe’s top 5 leagues (90) hosting the top scorers in the Champions League (27), so it would be a huge shock if it’s not the respective attacks that come out on top on Wednesday.

Leading the line for the hosts will be Kylian Mbappe after his match-winning brace in Dortmund so the odds at 2.37 on the teenager to score at any time are too good to resist once more. The 18-year old failed to register on the scoresheet at the weekend but he hasn’t drawn a blank in back-to-back appearances for Monaco since January.
